High in the Sierra Nevada, in the shadows of Mulhacén, but only 40 minutes from most of the
properties we are offering. Sol Y Nieve - literally 'sun and snow'
- offers a days skiing at over 12000 feet and
home in time for supper!
The season runs from December to May and
offers high quality skiing in stunning surroundings. Whether it's
the blood red sunsets or a breath-taking glimpse of the mountains of
North Africa, the views are simply wonderful.
The pistes
suit all abilities and are very reasonably priced. The ski resort
is well developed and is accessed by one the highest roads in Europe.
It was modernised for the recent International Championships and
is a memorable journey in itself!
As with all the European resorts, it does
attract a minority of hapless skiers (right) who can be seen modelling Matalan's
finest...
